Getting the Right Vehicle Detailer
Thursday, February 16th, 2012Do you know what are the things you need to check first before getting a car detailer?
A recent talk with a Vancouver Chrysler client ended on a rather interesting note – is there any way to make our cars look better than before? Yes, it’s a given that most of us don’t have the time (and tools, might we add) to work in perfecting that “brand-spanking” sheen that most car owners would die for. Luckily, we have our neighbourhood car detailer.
A car detailer is, essentially, the one whom you hire to make your car look good – and that also includes how it sounds and, more crucially, how it performs. Easier said than done, right? Well, that’s why they also have the tools and the know-how that we ordinary car owners can only dream of perfecting in a few years.
So how can you find the quality car detailing service shop for your car? Here are some tips to help you out: 1. First off, do the math. Or in other words, research. Aside from browsing or asking around for the best shops that have the best quality, you also have to make sure that those shops that you have “shortlisted” have working and unexpired licenses to operate. Better “legit” than sorry, as we like to say. 2. You’ve got the list, now what? Well, for starters, you can ask that shop if they really have the necessary equipment – and by equipment, we do not mean just the cleaning services alone, but some actual apparatuses (yes, we know we’re speaking like your science teacher from 8th grade) like a carpet extractor machine. Why is this so important, you ask? Well, if you don’t want to end up with a frayed carpet because of some strong chemicals used for it, then we think you should care. 3. Vancouver Chrysler dealers have this advice for their clients looking for a car detailer – make sure that that detailer is the patient kind. By that, they mean that his attention to detail should really be thorough. For a quick test, look for “dry” sections on the tires. If there’s none, that means that he took the time turn on and rev up the car just so he can see if he missed any “spots” on the wheels. If that isn’t attention to detail, we don’t know what is. 4. Expect that you’ll be shelling out some money for a top-rated detailing service, but keep the prices reasonable. Most Langley Chrysler Dealers that my friend canvassed offer competitive prices for detailing jobs. Businesses, like the Vancouver Dodge dealers, have spent years earning the trust of their clients. Your car detailer should be no different. If you ever find yourself leaving off with your car from a detailer feeling very, very satisfied, then we think that that is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between a provider and his client.
Check these things first before enlisting the service of a car detailer. You might save not only money but also your car in the long run.
